Who is 1 Young Micah?
Micah Lymous, or better known as 1 Young Micah, is a 25-year-old rapper from New Orleans, LA but has been living on the westcoast the last few years in Portland. He just released his EP “Lotus Flower” exclusively via SoundCloud. It’s a meaningful 3 song project that he has worked on for nearly a year that ultimately represents moving forward.
1 Young Micah has accumulated over 4.5 million streams organically, which has a lot to do with his hit song “Books of War”, and he has also opened for artists such as Mike Sherm, Larry June, J Stalin, D Savage and more. There are always wavy vibes with his music and some compare him to artists such as ASAP Rocky and Curren$y who do inspire 1 Young Micah but he has his own unique style & way of putting music together. A wordsmith with lyrics, 1 Young Micah uses vocabulary that clearly distinguish him from other rappers.
1 Young Micah’s passion for music has always been there, and after the freestyle sessions he used to have in college he eventually took recording seriously and since then it’s been nothing but positive reception from everyone that’s heard his work.
Some of Micah’s other interest include fashion designing, modeling, and traveling to experience new cultures. Be on the look out for 1 Young Micah. You shouldn’t be surprised if he’s signed to a major deal in 5 years, touring and getting the love I and many others know is overdue.
